Hotel Reservation in Kunming

For anyone who need to stay in Kunming before or after the conference, we have reserved some rooms in the "Green Land Hotel" with the room rate RMB490/room/night (abuot US$72) with breakfast. If you need to book the hotel, please send the information such as arrival time, arrival flight number, check in date, check out date by email to Ms. Cuiling LAN and pay the room fee by credit card before Aug. 22. After getting the reservation and payment, the Hotel reservation will be confirmed. When you arrive at the Hotel, just show them your name and "GONDWANA" and they will find your reservation. The hotel is a five star hotel (address: No. 80, Tuo Dong Road, Tel: 0871-3189999). It is about 20 minutes by taxi from the airport to the hotel and about 10 minutes from the hotel to the bus station.

The taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is about RMB15. The Chinese note below can help you to take a taxi to the Green Land Hotel.

There are four ways to get to Dali:

• You may buy the part of the air ticket from Kunming to Dali directly from the offices of "China Eastern" Airline or "China Southern" Airline in your country.
• You may buy the part of the air ticket from Kunming to Dali after you arrive in Kunming airport.
• You may join the pre-conference general tour arranged specially for the transfer from Kunming to Dali.
• You may fly to Kunming first. Then you can go to the bus station (it will take you about RMB40 by taxi from the airport to the shuttle bus station) to take the Shuttle bus to Dali. It is about 3-4 hours by bus from Kunming to Dali. The bus ticket can be bought on spot.
