International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) Young
Glycoscientist Award for 2013

The International Glycoconjugate Organization (IGO) is accepting applications from early career glycoscientists who have advanced the field of glycoscience and show promise of further achievements. One award (US$1,000) will be presented at the XXII International Symposium on Glycoconjugates (GLYCO 22) scheduled in Dalian, China, from June 23¨C28, 2013. The awardee will present his/her accomplishments at GLYCO 22. Travel expenses of up to US$1,500 will be provided.

Candidates should already have their PhD/DPhil, but may apply no later than 6 years after receiving their doctorate (in case of parental leave, this limit can be extended by up to 2 years per child). As a general guideline, candidates should have minimum of 6 papers as first, last or corresponding author in respected international journals.

Applications should preferably be submitted as a single PDF file electronically (or alternatively as 6 hard copies) and should include the curriculum vitae with list of publications, a letter summarising the accomplishments of the candidate and copies of his/her three most significant publications. A copy of the PhD/DPhil certificate and, if required, a certified statement regarding parental leave should also be included.
